The challenge
We were looking for a commercial space for our organisation that supports people with disabilities – and therefore had specific requirements, including ramp or lift access and a disabled toilet.
We wanted a premises that included offices for 30 people, had a strong ‘first impression’ reception area, a large training room, 2-3 meeting rooms, a private outdoor area, easy access – either via ramp or lift – with a nice façade to add some street-front branding. It also had to be near public transport, in a location with good visibility, somewhere between Herdsman and Balcatta, with great street appeal.
The solution
Property Wizards got straight onto it and, after eliminating properties that didn’t quite fit our extensive criteria, they found us a space that did. However, it was on the second floor and only had stair access, so we had to apply for planning to construct a lift.
The outcome
The team at Property Wizards went above and beyond to secure this property, and helped us with all negotiations, including getting our planning approval while keeping the deal ‘alive’ in the meantime. They also helped us negotiate special conditions in our contract, such as electrical and air conditioning repairs.
